after two years im finaly back..this time witm my own volvo..
it is 960 2.5 24v sedan from '95 LPG G3
i love it..it rides sound and looks great..only thing is he spends 17.5 liters of LPG on 100 km..this week we'll go to LPG garage for checkup and hopefuly problem will be solved..if not than i'll have a loooooot of questions..
for 16 years old car its great with expected small problems..all electrics works perfectly..engine is great..automat smooth..after LPG next is changing front windscreen(broken), than balancing tires(turns to right),and some minor details..
for now enough..will post a photo from croatian volvo meeting..hope you'll like it..

17.5 liters of LPG comes down to 5.7 km's on each liter. This notation (km/liter) is more common in the Netherlands. It is not extraordinary for a 960 with automatic transmission on LPG. A cause for excessive fuel consumption might the engine not warming up due to a broken thermostat. The thermostats are know for easy breaking. The engine should be warm (gauge pointing right up) within 1 km as i'm told.

Indeedt a very nice picture that volvo logo, is the petrol consumption the same as LPG, onther wise i say the cause will be the engine temprature.
And excuse me for the bad english.

ok now u deprese me..5.7 in any case is not exepteble..
but that 100 kms was EXTREMLY slow driving on highway on cruise control 100 km/h for 80 kms and 20 kms city ride in THE SLOWES possible way..i dont even want to thing how much he used before that when i was testing him..1in4??? about thermostat i think it works normal because temperature gauge is pointing right up after km drivin..
anyway thanks for photos..they was taken from small helicopter model specialy adjusted for camera photoshooting..

mark stalman schreef : Just a tip balancing the tires probably won't fix the problem in regards to the car pulling to the right. Balancing tires prevents shaking in the steering wheel. re-allignment of the wheels should fix the problem.
yes thanks mark..uitlijnen or how do you spel it..thats what i need to do..so re allignment as you wrote..but also i think i need balancing couse at higher speed around 110-120 steering wheel shakes..not much but enough to notice..and i thing a bit to much..wasnt driving any faster so cant say about higher than 120..

i got deal with my local lpg garage..he said he'll check it for 25+btw..so 30 euros..henk 940LPT schreef : If the engine runs smoothly on LPG the chance of some failure in the LPG system is not that big. Diagnostics sessions at the LPG dealer are expensive (at least in the Netherlands, € 60) so i would try to avoid that if you don't have a clear indication somehting is not OK. Does the engine warms up quickly ? 1:6 is, as said, not exceptional for a 6 cilinder with automatic transmission. I guess there are hills/mountains in the area you normally drive throught, and you don't drive with a feather-light foot (slow acceleration, slower than allowed speeds) ?
engine warms up quickly..and there are no hills and im was extremly light footed when i was driving that 100 kms..i know how to drive economicly..
